Dr. Brad Hounkpati is also the Chairman and President of Grain de Sel Togo Inc., a nonprofit organization providing scholarship and technical support to underprivileged students of public universities in Togo, West Africa.
He has been working for nonprofit organizations for 20 years now.
He is the first Borlaug LEAP Fellow from Togo. A Fulbright Scholar, he obtained his Ph.D from the University of Georgia. His work focused on systematics studies of the West Africa Coccinellidae (WAC). He believed that lady beetles can be used, as pest control agents as well as income generation activity, and contributing significantly to improved food security, household livelihoods, and reduced chemical inputs.
